What Is on a Real Farfetch Receipt?
Farfetch is a marketplace, not a single retailer, so a real order actually generates two documents from two different sources. A credible replacement copy should match that structure.
Order confirmation email comes from Farfetch
When you check out, Farfetch itself sends the order confirmation email, and the sales contract is formed at that point. This email lists the order number, items, and total but is not the final boutique invoice.
Dispatch invoice comes from the boutique partner
Farfetch connects to independent boutique partners worldwide, and the item ships from that partner's own location, not a Farfetch warehouse. The partner has up to two business days to process the order, and the invoice that accompanies the shipment can carry the boutique's own name and VAT registration number rather than Farfetch's.
Order number format
Farfetch order numbers commonly combine letters and digits (for example a pattern like 2XSEM2/OOO10278442), distinct from a simple sequential invoice number.
Duties and taxes calculated at checkout
For most destinations Farfetch uses Delivery Duty Paid pricing, meaning customs duty and import tax are calculated and included in the total at checkout, with no extra charge on delivery. For a smaller number of Delivery At Place destinations, duties and taxes are excluded at checkout and collected by the courier on arrival instead.
Digital invoice access after removing paper copies
Farfetch stopped including printed invoices with shipments to cut waste; the invoice is instead available as a digital download from the account order history, or via guest order lookup for orders placed without an account.
Refund treatment for duties on returns
If duties and taxes were included in the original purchase price, they are refunded automatically on a return; if they were paid separately to the courier, reclaiming them is handled through the local customs office instead of Farfetch.

Because Farfetch is a marketplace, the invoice that ships with the item comes from the boutique partner who fulfilled the order, so it may show the boutique's name and VAT number instead of Farfetch's.
