What Is on a Real Carrefour Receipt?
French tickets de caisse follow a consistent structure shaped by TVA rules and the 2023 receipt-printing law. A credible Carrefour recreation should match these fields.

Under French decree 2023-610, receipts are no longer printed automatically - Carrefour stores print the ticket de caisse only when the customer asks, and offer a digital copy instead. A dated paper ticket after mid-2023 was explicitly requested at checkout.
TVA summary at mixed rates
French grocery receipts break down TVA by rate: most food is at 5.5%, prepared or hot food at 10%, and general merchandise, alcohol, and confectionery at 20%. The ticket shows the total TVA included in the amount paid.
Carte Carrefour number and cagnotte
When the loyalty card is scanned, the ticket prints the Carte Carrefour number and the euros credited to the cagnotte, Carrefour's fidelity balance that can be spent on later shops.
Digital tickets in the customer account
Loyalty cardholders can retrieve past tickets from their Carrefour online account and app, where receipts are stored after each scan - the usual recovery path for a lost paper ticket.
Store identity and transaction metadata
The header names the specific store (Carrefour, Carrefour Market, or Carrefour City) with its address, and the footer carries the date, time, checkout lane, and a transaction number used for returns.
Payment block with change or card details
The ticket shows how the purchase was paid - cash with change rendered, or carte bancaire with a masked card number - followed by the total in euros, TVA included.
