What Is on a Real Jumbo Receipt?
A Dutch kassabon has its own fiscal grammar - BTW splits, statiegeld deposits, and loyalty points. Jumbo's receipts add the Extra's program and a fully digital bon in the app.
BTW split between 9% and 21%
Dutch receipts separate VAT by rate: most food and drink carries the reduced 9% BTW, while non-food items carry the standard 21%. The kassabon footer breaks down the amounts per rate so the totals reconcile.
Statiegeld deposit lines
Deposits on bottles and cans print as separate statiegeld lines - 0.15 EUR on small plastic bottles and cans, 0.25 EUR on large bottles. Returned empties produce an emballagebon that scans as a negative deposit line, shown on the digital receipt as returned deposit.
Jumbo Extra's points
Scanning your Jumbo Extra's at checkout earns points, and the receipt shows the points collected. Points are not earned on deposit, emballage, tobacco, and similar excluded items, so the points line rarely matches the full total.
Digital kassabon in the app
When you scan your Extra's account, your kassabon is stored digitally in the Jumbo app, so receipts from linked purchases remain retrievable - handy for returns and expense records since thermal paper fades.
Store header with local vestiging
Jumbo operates both company-owned stores and franchises, so the header names the specific vestiging (branch) with its address - a franchise receipt reflects the local operator behind that store.
PIN payment section
Dutch grocery payments are overwhelmingly by debit (PIN) or contactless, so receipts typically include a payment section with the masked card details and terminal confirmation rather than a cash line.

Without Extra's, the paper bon is the only record, though the store may help with recent transactions and a bank statement confirms the PIN payment.
