TSE fiscal signature
Like every German till receipt under KassenSichV, a Kaufland bon carries the certified security device (TSE) data: register and security module serial numbers, a transaction counter, and a cryptographic signature, frequently rendered as a QR code at the foot of the receipt.
Pfand deposits and Leergutbon credits
Bottle and can deposits print as PFAND lines (0.25 EUR one-way, 0.08 to 0.15 EUR refillable), and returning empties at the machine produces a Leergutbon that scans at the register as a negative deposit line on the receipt.
MwSt letters A and B
Items carry tax letters mapping to Germany's two VAT rates - 19% standard on non-food and many drinks, 7% reduced on most groceries - and the footer totals net and MwSt per rate. A hypermarket basket typically mixes both rates more than a discounter's.
